About Dr. Gardner

Ivy H. Gardner, MD, is a colorectal surgeon at Sacramento Colon and Rectal Surgery Medical Group. She works out of the Sacramento, California, office.

Dr. Gardner graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Davis, with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences. She then attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gardner completed her general surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She then completed her fellowship in colorectal surgery at Georgia Colon & Rectal Surgical Associates at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Gardner is board-certified in general surgery. 

Dr. Gardner’s clinical interests are broad. She is adept at minimally invasive surgical approaches, such as robotic surgery, for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, and diverticulitis. She is also skilled at colonoscopy and is interested in treating anorectal disorders, including hemorrhoids and fistula.
