James M. Conner, MD, is a colorectal surgeon at Sacramento Colon and Rectal Surgery Medical Group. He works out of the Carmichael, and Roseville, California locations.
In 2005, Dr. Conner graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences from the University of California, Riverside (UC Riverside). While there, he participated in the Thomas Haider Program for biomedical sciences.
In 2008, Dr. Conner graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. From 2008-2013, he completed his general surgery residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas, associated with Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Bryan, Texas. He then completed a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at UT Houston Affiliated Hospitals and Clinics in 2014.
Dr. Conner is board certified in general and colon and rectal surgery. His interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery for inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative Colitis. He applies these approaches for diverticulitis and colon and rectal cancer as well.
Dr. Conner is skilled at endoscopy. He joined Sacramento Colon and Rectal Surgery Medical Group in 2014.
